- There used to be one available from Omega Projects(?) in the UK. They used to
- make a 14 Mhz drop in replacement for the 68000. I used one in a A500 many
- moons ago ('twas my very first accelerator:) There was a switch you could
- route to the outside of the case to drop back to 7 Mhz. It worked quite well,
- and tended to be slightly more OK compatibility wise than the 020 I replaced
- it with. It worked out at about 1.6 times faster than a standard fastmem
- equiped 500/2000.
-
- The 68000 sat on a small circuit board with a few extra bits and pieces. It
- seemed a very simple circuit at the time and I was surprised I never came
- across a version of it in misc/hacks.
-
- Supra also did(do?) a 28 Mhz 68000 that goes onto the side of the 500.
